Archers pub attempt murder probe: Police arrest three

THREE men have been arrested in connection with an investigation into an attempted murder in South Ockendon

Officers detained the three men after executing warrants at addresses in Crammavill Street in Grays and another location in South Ockendon early today, Thursday May 17.

A 43-year-old man from Grays, a 61-year-old man from South Ockendon and a 36-year-old man from Grays, were all arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They are currently in custody being interviewed by detectives.

The investigation follows an incident at South Ockendon at about 10.20pm on Monday, May 14.

Four men entered the Archers pub in Garron Lane, searching for a local man, aged in his 20s. One of the men was armed with a shotgun that was subsequently discharged in the car park as the intended victim fled the scene. No one was injured.
