ngage would like to say a big thank you to all the people who volunteer in Thurrock. Julie Rawson, ngage Volunteer Coordinator said “Volunteers make such a difference to a number of groups and organisations in Thurrock. Their generosity, hard work and commitment is much appreciated and we would like to thank them all for making a difference to our community”

ngage are hosting a Volunteer Fair to celebrate National volunteer week on Thursday 7th June from 10am – 2pm and would like to invite existing volunteers and people interested in volunteering, to come along and find out more. There are half hour question and answer sessions about volunteering roles such as:

10am- Volunteering as a School Governor; 10:30am – Volunteering with Thurrock Libraries, e.g. Home link, Wiser4IT, Baby Rhyme Time, Events Assistants;

11am – Volunteering for Sports Clubs—variety of roles 11:30am – Volunteering with disabled children and young people 12pm – Volunteering for Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals as a Governor; 12:30pm – Thurrock CVS – volunteering in administration, reception and websites

Julie Rawson said “A huge number of people have registered with us since the ngage Volunteer Centre was set up in 2011, we especially would like to thank those who have agreed to help out at the T Fest Weekend this year and the forthcoming Torch relay. Without the help of all our volunteers many organisations would not be able to offer such good services for our community”.

ngage are still registering volunteers to help out at T Fest on 2nd and 3rd June and the Olympic Torch Relay event on Friday 6th July.
