THE Diocese of Chelmsford is compiling a book of greetings from the people of Essex and East London which will be presented to Her Majesty the Queen to commemorate her Diamond Jubilee.
A number of key churches across the Diocese have been chosen to be ‘Diocesan Jubilee Centres’, these include for Thurrock the Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul in Grays High Street.
Grays Parish Church will be open for all four days of the long Jubilee weekend from 10am until 4pm for people to come along and write a greeting which will be included in the final bound book which will be presented to the Queen later this year.
Also, there will be a special ‘Jubilee Songs of Praise’ at Grays Parish Church on Sunday 3 June at 5.30pm, everyone is welcome to attend.
