“Good Samaritan” Scotsman wanted after assault in Grays pub

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Grays.

Between 7pm and 7.40pm on Thursday April 5, 2012, at Queens Public House in Clarence Road, an altercation took place between three men whereby one was assaulted.

Investigating officer Pc Joe Ali said: “I am appealing for a witness who helped to detain one of the suspects to contact me, as he may hold vital information. He is described as Scottish, wearing a white and blue chequered top.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Joe Ali on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for assault, possession of cannabis and criminal damage and a 20-year-old man was arrested for assault. Both were bailed until June 27.
