Bosses not talking claim unions in Fords dispute

UNIONS at the centre of the Fords dispute, have expressed frustration at the apparent refusal of the bosses at the motor company to meet them.

As a result of the action taken on Monday ACAS asked to assist the unions in resolving this dispute.

Chair of JSUNNC, Les McDonald said: “Over the last few days the National Officer has been in contact with the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) who have offered to assist in an attempt to mediate between both parties.

“The Trade Union have welcomed this assistance and agreed to participate as they believe any opportunity to find a resolution should and must be attempted.

“Unfortunately I have to report that the Company not only content with refusing to negotiate with your representatives have also at this point refused an opportunity to meet with ACAS.

“We will continue to pursue all avenues to reach a settlement in this dispute.”
