THERE WERE cheers and cheers for Grays Convent student, Lauren Beard as she lined up for a photo call outside the Thameside Theatre along with the other olympic torch bearers.
They are all set for next week when they will run from Lodge Lane to Hogg Lane.
The bunting has been made, the crowds are ready and the runners cannot wait for 5.02pm on July 6th.
YT spoke to Lauren about how she was nominated and how she feels about the big day.

Does anyone know if there is enough bunting to beat the Guiness Book of Records for continous length world record?
Concidering it is only a few weeks to go until the start of the Olympics it looks like the majority of the British people could not really care less about the Games.
As for the Government saying that they have bought the games in under budget, do they really think that the public are that stupid thay they have forgotten that it has now cost 4 time the original budget when we won the games…..
