A SUSPECTED loan shark from Thurrock is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court this Friday (27th July) for a plea and case management hearing in relation to illegal money lending, money laundering and four charges in relation to the handling of stolen goods (namely vehicle parts.)
The suspect, a 61 year old man from Stanford-le-hope was investigated by the England Illegal Money Lending Team, working in partnership with Thurrock Council and Essex Police.
He was arrested in July last year after a multi-agency operation in which warrants were executed at his home and business premise.
