MANY of you are now aware, the Volunteer Centre in Thurrock is run by ngage, an organisation committed to supporting residents in Thurrock in playing a bigger part in their local community.
They recently supported Thurrock Council by recruiting and managing nearly 100 volunteers at T Fest, who did a fantastic job in helping make this year’s festival “the cleanest one the police had ever seen”.
They also recruited over 300 volunteers to steward at the recent Olympic Torch Relay event and the contribution of these volunteers helped to make both events safer and cleaner for Thurrock residents to enjoy.
So what can they do for you??
If you are a voluntary/community group or organisation seeking new volunteers or maybe you are thinking about involving volunteers in your activities for the first time, ngage Volunteer Centre can help you.
They have many volunteers on their register with a variety of skills who could bring new experiences and fresh enthusiasm to your organisation.
Volunteering suits anyone interested in helping others in their community – whether you are out of work, just left college, recently retired, a parent with time on your hands or you want to be part of a worthwhile cause.
