Countdown to Orsett Show

THE Orsett Show is ‘ploughing on’ with plans for another brilliant show in spite of the fact that many long established shows in the UK have been cancelled because of the weather.

County show grounds across the UK have been rendered unusable by the torrents of rain this summer but the Orsett Showground had coped very well and organisers are absolutely confident September 1st will be another successful day in the long history of the show.

There will be all the regular attractions such as the impressive collection of vintage traction engines and the delightfully preserved classic cars.

Crafts and Hobbies will have their regular place in the marquees together with all the favourite exhibitions and displays which have delighted visitors for so long.

The main arena attractions this year will be a breath-taking display by the Adrenaline Tour team doing amazing things on quad bikes – don’t try the stunts at home please! And a brilliant display by the Rockwood Dog Display Team

Young visitors will have plenty to keep them busy at the interactive circus skills centre plus they will be able to get up close and personal with a variety of animals including ferrets!

There will be a Birds of Prey display, a traditional baker show, a fun dog show and even a fly fishing demonstration where there will be an opportunity to learn how to cast a fly yourself.

The helicopter rides will no doubt be as popular as ever and you could even save £5 on the regular price by pre-booking a flight by phoning 01843 825 222 at least a week before the show.

There is so much to see and enjoy at the 2012 Orsett Show and if you are a serving member of the British Armed Forces you and your family can enjoy free entry on production of a valid HM Forces ID card, all part of our Help For Heroes support.
