THE CARETAKER’S cat at Thameside primary school in Grays sparked a police alert after a well-intentioned member of the public mistook it for…something larger.
Essex Police confirmed that just after 8am on Tuesday morning, police received a call regarding a large cat in Cherry Tree Close, Grays.
Police attended. It was determined that the cat appeared to be D’Arcy the caretaker of Thameside primary schools’ cat.
The necessary advice was given.
The alert comes just a few days after a major scare when members of the public believed they had spotted a Lion in St Osyths.
