On Wednesday 29 August, Thurrock branch of U3A held its Annual Summer party at th e Civic Hall Grays.
The various groups displayed and demonstrated their work.
Chairperson, Maggie Whitbread, announced the formation of several new groups and again appealed for volunteers to help with th e tea bar.
David Firth then entertained the audience with songs from the sixties and seventies, in which the audience joined in.
The morning ended with a finger buffet towards which the members contributed.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 26 September.
