A RECORDING STUDIO in the Grays Youth and Connexions studio in Orsett Road has re-opened.
In a special ceremony at the centre, the mayor of Thurrock and a host of dignitaries were treated to special musical performances to celebrate the opening of the studio.
The studio was at the heart of the centre between 2007 and 2009 but due to a number of uncertainties, had to be “mothballed”.
But the legacy of Lewis Clarke lives on and through the determination of Chris Burgess helped by many people including Dave Petrie have re-ignited the flame.
The mission of the statement is for young people to learn a whole range of skills in relation to the music industry.
The studio always had a strong relationship with Your Thurrock. In 2008-09 a whole host of young artists were filmed in session including artists such as Mushley and Young Reyes.

This is great news to have a unit in Grays, there are some very successful record labels and artist in the area who would love to help the young people. it would be great to put on some workshops in radio presenting, mcing, vocal coaching, djing, music production etc in this space. for more info on future urban projects in Grays check out http://www.londonurbanartsacademy.org or email me [email protected]
