Dreams come true as local children to perform in pantomime

CINDERELLA is the most magical fairytale of all time and as you are hopefully aware, is making a glittering arrival at the Thameside Theatre, Orsett Road, Grays for this year’s Christmas Pantomime 2012/13.

Cinderella, starring Gemma Bissix (from EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Dancing on Ice) as Fairy Flustered, Chris Simmons (from The Bill) as Buttons and West End star Wain Douglas as Muriel, one of the Ugly Sisters, will enchant audiences of all ages with this classic love story suitable for the whole family. The Pantomime will open on Friday 7 December 2012 and run until Sunday 6 January 2013.

Auditions for local youngsters took place last month and the following lucky ones have been chosen to take part in this year’s Production:

Over 100 children turned up for the audition and Darren Maddison, Producer of Polka Dot Pantomimes and Wain Douglas who as well as an Ugly Sister is also the Choreographer this year were very impressed with the high level of ability from all the youngsters. They will meet up in November to start rehearsals before the big opening on Friday 7 December 2012

Tickets for Cinderella are already in great demand and advance bookings are indicating that this show will smash all previous Box Office records, so book your tickets now by calling the Thameside Theatre Box Office on Tel: 0845 300 5264.

With 55 fun filled performances running throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays, audiences of all ages will be able to boo the baddies, laugh along with Buttons and cheer on Cinderella and her handsome Prince.

As usual, we are offering a great ‘Early Bird’ deal – which makes Cinderella the best value panto in Essex! If you reserve now and pay by 5pm on Tuesday 9 October 2012 you can save up to £3.50 per ticket. We will need a 25% deposit within 4 days of you making the reservation. To avoid you losing your deposit and reservation, we will phone you when the balance is due, as long as we have your telephone number.

The Box Office is open 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays 10am to 1.00pm. Alternatively, you can go on-line at any time of the day or night, where you can purchase up to 9 tickets. There are also some excellent discounts for schools, family tickets and party bookers.
