MEET the Buyers Thurrock is the latest initiative from Thurrock Council, working in partnership with Essex Chambers of Commerce, to enable local businesses to engage with buyers from a range of major organisations looking for suppliers of goods and services.

Taking place at the London Cruise Terminal, Tilbury on Thursday 11th October, the aim is to boost Thurrock’s economy, and with more than fifteen organisations offering one-to-one appointments, this event offers local companies great opportunities to do business!

Therefore if you are a supplier of goods or services, this is your chance to have pre-arranged meetings with buyers from organisations such as AMEC, Balfour Beatty, Canute Group, GR Carr (Essex), Health Village, Morgan Sindall, National Express c2c, Port of Tilbury, RWE nPower, South Essex College, Vopak and Wincanton. Appointments with buyers are structured so that suppliers will only be granted meetings in accordance with the buyers specific requirements, and providing you match items from that list, you will benefit from ‘One to One’ fifteen minute sessions with each of your chosen buyers, giving you the best possible opportunity to establish new clients.

Throughout the day a series of themed seminars will also be on offer providing tips and practical advice and guidance on how to win new contracts. These seminars will be open to all businesses, whether they have booked an appointment or not. With over 150 businesses expected to attend this will also be a fantastic networking opportunity.

Unlike some other ‘Meet the Buyers’ events, attendance by suppliers is free of charge – which means all you contribute is your time.
