AFTER the huge success of their sell out tour last year, Polka Dot Pantomimes (As seen on BBC2’s Dragons Den) are preparing to swing into town with their adventurous adaptation of The Jungle Book, based on the famous story by Rudyard Kipling.
The show follows Mowgli, a young boy born into the jungle and raised by a pack of wolves. Mowgli learns about the jungle and friendship from Baloo and Bagheera while attempting to avoid Shere Khan, the Bengal tiger who is determined to banish him from the jungle world. Mowgli’s adventures lead him to the ultimate realisation that his rightful place is in the human world and not with his animal friends.
The production will feature West End performers as highly mobile costumed characters, resulting in animals that bring the jungle to life right before your eyes! All the favourite characters and iconic moments will be there as Polka Dot Pantomimes present this brand new adaptation that is suitable for the whole family.
Audiences will be delighted with Colonel Hathi and his herd of elephants, King Louie and his hep-cat monkeys and, of course, the boisterous Baloo, with his unforgettable bouncing rendition of ‘Bare Necessities’.
Other musical highlights include, ‘I Want To Be Like You’, ‘Jungle Rhythm’ and ‘Colours of the Wind’
