Brendan Riley is typical Liverpudlian – direct, friendly and brash. A star of both Coronation Street and Holly oaks, he has also produced a series of documentaries, both spoof and straight, on his second love of motorbikes. He is a fully qualified mechanic and track racer.

Opening Comedian – Slim

Voted comics favorite comedian (2005)

Original and versatile. He appeals to all ages, genders, race and nationalities and has the ability to capture different aspects of everyday life and twist it into his own brand of comedy. He was born in South London, England of Jamaican parentage.

Slim first performed in 1993 at the Hackney Empire in front of an audience of 1,500 people. Since then he has appeared in every major city in England and Wales ranging from Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Liverpool and Cardiff, these are just a few of many.

Headline Comedian – Martin Beaumont

Martin Beaumont is a true old school stand-up, a master of the one liner, who can handle anyone from drunken grannies to boisterous rugby players. Having made his name with a whole show devoted to White Van Men at Edinburgh, Martin has expanded his repertoire to include a whole host of subject matter – and all of it funny. He won the Time Out’s Critics Choice for Sunspots.
