Grays school students master the cube

STUDENTS from The Grays School Media Arts College became World Record Breakers on 21st November.

A group of 30 Year 7 students and 4 teachers travelled to the O2 arena to participate in the Rubik’s Challenge which was organised by Depaul UK, the largest youth homelessness charity in the country.

It is hoped that the event will raise an amazing £100,000 through the support from schools and donations from the makers of the Cube.

The event raised funds for the charity and set a new Guinness Book of World Records record for the most people solving a Rubik’s cube at the same time.

A total of 1414 people were successful. Students from Year 7 also raised almost £150 extra by competing in an inter-class mile of pennies event.
