HUNDREDS OF cinema goers treated themselves to a different experience last week as they went to a live showing of The Nutcracker ballet which was beamed from Covent Garden to the Vue Lakeside as well as all over the world.
The showing at select cinemas underlined the fruitful relationship between the Royal Opera House and Thurrock.
On what can only be described as a huge screen, the ballet sprang to life in so many ways.
Cinema-goers were treated to behind the scenes documentaries and a whole range of camera angles that enhanced the experience.
