Stanford-le-Hope primary on the way back up!

IT WAS only a couple of months ago that Ofsted delivered a stark warning to Stanford-le-Hope primary that the Copland Road institution requires improvement.

Three such judgements and the school could be placed in special measures.

Ofsted returned to the school just before Christmas and have delivered a much more promising monitoring report.

Headteacher, Linda Moore said: “Following our monitoring visit on 18 December, the headteacher and governing body of Stanford-le-Hope primary are pleased their report recognises that, in a very short space of time – the school is taking effective action to tackle the areas identified in the Ofsted Inspection.

“The report makes clear that the school already has well-established systems in place to ensure all actions planned will be completed effectively, bringing about the required improvements.

“The support from the council to strengthen the governing body is welcomed and will serve to enhance the confidence people already hold in the school’s leadership.

  1. introduce some fun, laughter and excitement…that would improve the school for starters! What a miserable and emotionally unhealthy place to work and learn!
