A knotty proposal from Thurrock libraries

A SECOND Thurrock libraries knit-natter-and-stitch group is being launched in February.

Following the success of the first – at Chadwell Library – which started last year Thurrock Council’s libraries service is planning the next in South Ockendon.

It will be based in the Culver Centre, Daiglen Drive, between noon and 1pm each Friday – starting on 8 February – until the Belhus-based South Ockendon Centre opens.

There will be library staff available, but anyone interested in coming along for a knit, a natter or a stitch can just turn up.

The council is also looking at opening similar sessions at other libraries around the borough.
