IN March, J Murphy & Sons Limited will start the next phases of road improvement works on The Manorway A13 Junction at Stanford-le-Hope.
The works are being undertaken to increase the capacity of the A13/A1014 junction by widening it from the current two lanes to three lanes. Each of the slip roads will see significant remodelling as part of the works.
Work taking place between March and September will see various slip roads closed between four and nine weeks each. Diversion routes have been approved by the Highway Authority and are designed to provide a safe alternative road, capable of handling an equivalent level of road traffic.
The first slip road closure will take place in early March, with the London-bound exit slip closing for approximately four weeks. Journey times will be longer for those who use this slip road, as the approved safe diversion route will take them around Orsett Cock Roundabout back up the A13 and back to the A13/A1014 Junction.
Road users are recommended to subscribe to the email alerts system on www.a13roadworks.co.uk, which will provide advanced warning of changes to traffic management, allowing them to better plan their daily commute.
