Adult Community College make an impression

MAYOR of Thurrock Cllr Yash Gupta MBE, John Kent, Leader of the Council and Carmel Littleton, Head of Learning and Universal Outcomes all had a tour of the Thurrock Adult Community College.

College Principal Sharon Walsh, took the visitors on a tour of the building and met with some of the students who were in class.

After talking to the learners they felt inspired by their learning journey and what they have overcome to be where they are today.

Cllr Yash Gupta said he was ‘very impressed with the learners and the range of courses on offer’

Jamie Sibley, Volunteer at Thurrock Adult Community College spoke to all about his experience of learning at the College as well as becoming a volunteer in an IT and reading class.

  1. I am very surprised that this so-called college of adult education made an impression. These people must be easy to please.

    This college has never offered interested courses. You need to go to Southend to find something interesting to do!

    I had a look now at the brochure and again the brochure is a display of same old same old and I bet they still continue to harass people with the stupid and boring paperwork!
