THE SOUTH East LEP is carrying out a survey of businesses across its area to develop a clear picture of the scale and economic impact of poor or no mobile phone coverage.
Concerns about areas of poor or no mobile phone coverage, known as cold spots, where people have been unable to make or receive calls are among the issues businesses regularly raise with SELEP.
The business-led partnership is now working with the Chambers of Commerce and Federation of Small Businesses covering its area to find out the extent of the problem and impact it is having on efforts to generate economic growth.
The findings of the survey, which will run from Tuesday 2 April until Friday 10 May will help identify the priority cold spot areas and develop a strong evidence base for SELEP to press the mobile phone operators to take action on.
Business in the SELEP area can complete the survey by going to www.southeastlep.com.
More information about the survey can be found in the questions and answer section or by contacting the LEP Secretariat.
