Free easter egg hunt at Davy Down

DAVY Down Trust, at Stifford Pumping Station, off Pilgrims Lane, will be hosting its seventh family Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 14th from noon until 4.30 for 5.

A spokesperson said: “We are catering for 300 children this year based on our growing popularity” said trustee Pam Thomas.

“It’s very easy to join in, just arrive at the pumping station and pick up your map and clues, solve the letter scramble and claim your Easter Egg.

If you have time you can take in all the local industrial history of Thurrock’s drinking water and walk round what was Davy Down Farm and carry on down to the Mardyke River Valley.

Davy Down holds themed Family Days the second Sunday of every month from April to October.
