The building has been refurbished to a high standard with a helping hand from Thurrock Council’s Low Carbon Economy Programme and some environmental measures. It houses five self-contained sound proofed counselling rooms, a group room and office base for the team.
Interventions Open Door is a service for young people between the ages of 11 and 25. It helps with issues such as anxiety, anger, depression, bereavement, parent’s divorce or separation, relationships, abuse, confidence issues and much more.
The service’s chief executive Mike Kelly said: “We’re really proud to move our intervention service into this new building. “This will give us the opportunity to take on more counsellors and enable the service to grow.”
