A CHAFFORD HUNDRED man was arrested by armed police in Wanstead High Street on Wednesday reports the Guardian series.
Wayne Colligan, 42, of Chafford Hundred has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a firearm.
He was arrested shortly after 9am yesterday in an operation where Flying Squad officers fired breaching rounds to disable a van he was driving.
He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning.
