INTU Lakeside’s marketing team scooped a national marketing award and recognition from the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) last week at the Purple Apple Marketing Awards. Entering the highly competitive ‘Best Use of Digital Marketing’ category, the team faced tough competition from other ambitious online campaigns.
Intu Lakeside’s ‘Christmas Gift to Facebook’ campaign thoroughly impressed the judges though with a 4676% increase in new ‘likes’ on its Facebook page during the 12 day campaign and the team walked away with a Purple Apple Merit Award.
The judges said the Christmas Gift to Facebook campaign was, “An undoubted success that will certainly continue to provide returns on investment into the future through a well engaged social media audience”.
TV presenter Claudia Winkleman presented intu Lakeside’s marketing team with their certificate and trophy on stage at the event at The Brewery, London.
