THE HORNDON FEAST and fayre is set to be a celebration of Viking history and old Thames folklore.
Held on June 29th and June 30th, the fayre has something for everyone. It is one of the highlights of the Thurrock summer diary.
Events on Saturday start with a church service at 10am followed by an opening service outside the village hall.
Throughout the day, there will be Viking re-enactments, musical acts, plenty of food all the way through to 6pm when there will be music at The Swan.
Sunday begins with the Horndon 10K at 10am (there are entries on the day) and again, there is so much to do. Thurrock Male Voice Choir will be in full voice; young musician of the year, Georgia Robertson will be performing and lots lots more.
The afternoon finishes with the annual Bell v Swan tug of war.
