THURROCK Football club have reportedly lost their appeal over playing an ineligible player and will remain in the Ryman Division One North.
The club had been docked three points by the FA after playing Joel Barnett. But the club appeared to be unaware that the player had a ban hanging over him from a previous club.
The deduction meant that the club were relegated. Their second one in successive seasons.
The decision was made by the FA in a special meeting, this afternoon.
The club may decide to go to arbitraton.
Carshalton remain in the Ryman Premier.
