A WOMAN is a in a critical condition after she was struck by lightning earlier this morning, Friday, August 2.
The East of England Ambulance (EEAST) were alerted to Belus Woods Country Park at 9.19am.
An ambulance, a response car, a duty officer and the Trust’s hazardous area response team (HART) were sent to the scene. Due to the nature of the call, the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.
EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The woman was found in a critical condition and following treatment and stabiulisation by land and air ambulance crews, she was taken by land ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel for further care.”
