ORGANISATIONS and voluntary groups searching for funds in these cash-strapped times are being offered a chance to find out where the much-needed money might be available.
THURROCK Council and the Thurrock Council for Voluntary Services are running a free Thurrock Funders Fayre on Tuesday, 10 September, between 2pm and 6pm.
The event at The Beehive, Voluntary and Community Resource Centre, in Grays aims to encourage access to funding opportunities by bringing together funding providers and community and voluntary organisations.
The event offers the chance for those seeking funding to meet funders who might be able to help projects succeed.
They can talk visitors through the application process and give all the tips needed to help make an application successful.
The event is free and open to all, but there are several pre-bookable workshops – Awards for All at 2.45pm; Grantfinder at 3.30pm; and the Essex Community Foundation at 4.15pm.
To register and book a workshop place, go to www.thurrockfundersfayre.eventbrite.co.uk
Other funders at the event included Veolia North Thames Trust; the Thurrock Council Community Safety Partnership; Thurrock Council’s ERDF programme; Heritage Lottery Fund; and Thurrock CVS, Small Sparks and Community Fund.
