THURROCK businesses are being encouraged to look to overseas growth by the region’s largest international trade organisations.
Enterprise Europe Network and UK Trade & Investment has partnered with Thurrock Borough Council for a half day export workshop at the Thurrock Learning Shop, Grays on Wednesday October 9.
The free interactive event aims to provide businesses with an invaluable insight into international sales, share must – know tips and put new and developing exporters on the road to success.
Mathilde Murphy, Enterprise Europe Network manager said, “Although choosing the right market and getting started in international trade can seem daunting, exporting is a great way to boost your sales and easier than a lot of people think.
“We hope our free morning workshop can help local businesses decide whether growing their business overseas is for them and offer a helping hand along the way”.
Enterprise Europe Network is the continent’s largest business support organisation with over 3000 staff in 54 countries – EU funded, much of their support services are free of charge.
Topics covered on the day will include an introduction to overseas sales, the different stages of exporting, choosing your markets, the mechanics, reviewing your requirements and a final overview of the funded help and support on offer from government agencies.
“This half – day workshop will give businesses an opportunity to hear first-hand from experts experienced in overseas sales, government approved international trade advisors, and find out what it takes to sell successfully overseas”, says Mrs Murphy.
