RM19: Free taster sessions

DO you love to sing and experiment with vocals? Are you passionate about music? Would you like to learn new skills and work with brilliant performers? Then RM19, the Royal Opera House’s Thurrock Youth Vocal Group needs you.
RM19 is a dynamic and diverse vocal group. Its members offer ideas and suggestions of interesting and exciting combinations of musical genres to work on, mixing opera with rap, adding vocals to orchestral pieces and mashing Mozart with beatbox.

Fusing together traditions, styles and approaches, RM19 celebrates collaboration and the power of the voice. It is open to anyone aged between 11-25 years old living in Thurrock who loves music, wants to sing and is ready to learn different musical styles.

Young singers who want to find out more about RM19 and try out their voices can join a free taster session on Saturday 28 September. It is open to all young people across Thurrock and no previous experience of singing or performing is necessary. All you need is enthusiasm, a willingness to take part and a love for all kinds of music.

The free taster session takes place at the Backstage Centre on the High House Production Park in Purfleet on Saturday 28 September from 2-4pm. For more information about RM19 or to register for the session, please email getinvolved@roh.org.uk or call 01708 891200. Registering for the session is essential.
