Cocaine hidden in nuts cracked wide open at the port of Tilbury

COCAINE with an estimated street value of £2.4m has been seized by Border Force officers at the port of Tilbury after being hidden in a cargo of nuts.

About 46kg of the Class A drug was found in two black holdalls at Tilbury that had been shipped in a container from Panama, officials said.

Mark Kennedy from Border Force said the find would have significantly disrupted the criminals’ work.
