QUESTIONS continue to be asked regarding the bridge over the Aveley by-pass.
Thurrock Council has already explained that delays to the work on the by-pass caused when a lorry crashed into it last year, have been due to a problem lifting the mid-span from its bearings and subsequent bureaucratic work.
However residents are questioning why all the work is going on.
One resident, who did not wish to be named told YT.
“I do hope all this work isn’t being done and in the end, 
they pull the footbridge down and replace it with a roundabout.”
Thurrock Council has not indicated that the bridge will, eventually, be pulled down.
