On Tuesday October 9th, Communities minister, Brandon Lewis issued a written statement in the House of Commons.
This has now been followed by an in-depth report into the investigation.
Thurrock Council has welcomed the news.
A spokesperson said:
“In August, the council and the Department for Communities and Local Government issued statements regarding court action Thurrock was taking following financial concerns raised during the closedown of the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation.
“The council welcomes today’s publication of the qualified accounts, the minister’s statement and the DCLG press release which explains, as far as is possible, why Thurrock is taking court action against the two former TTGDC directors.”
