A REPORT into a complaint that a Thurrock councillor incited racial hatred by using the term “Big fat gypsy cesspit” in a press release, has yet to be submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The original complaint against Corringham and Fobbing councillor Mark Coxshall was made in August.
YT has spoken to Essex Police who have told us that they are still in the process of obtaining witness statements.
Cllr Coxshall made the comments in relation to a planning application on a traveller site in Corringham . He said that there was a concern that the area could “become a cross between my big fat gipsy cesspit and Shameless”.
The councillor refutes claims his comments were racist and said the travellers had acted illegally.
I used to be someone who had always supported the police but as time goes by the fact that they waste time and money on cases such as this leads me to think they have an adversion to dealing with real crime.
I do not understand how Essex Police can justify looking into the fact that a local councillor says what we all think (as we know the trouble caused to the local area when travellers move onto unoccupied land). It is time for them to stop wasting our money and their time on this and move on to proper crimes which have occurred in Thurrock.

The Police can’t drop this complaint becasue they know the race hate relations industry will be tub thumping a path to their door demanding a public hanging. It’s what keeps them employed in their non jobs.

So when somebody in public office is racialist to a minority group it’s a waste of police time and public money, Cllr Coxshall made these comments, Thurrock Council’s position is that the comments made do not represent the Council as a whole, therefore distancing themselves from Cllr Coxshall ,Thurrock Tory Association as also distanced themselves from the comments made by Cllr Coxshall
Perhaps Bernard you should talk to the family concerned and asked them if they think it’s a waste of police time and taxpayers money, I’m sure if you were in the same position and you had these comments made about yourself and your children you may well have felt differently, considering Cllr Coxshall talks on the behalf of the Thurrock MP and no comment has been made by Thurrock Tory Association as to whether these comments represent their feelings, one can only assume that they are, please remember bernard racialism is forever hungry and needs feeding

The people most motivated by people’s racial makeup and racial hatred are the ones that are continually on the lookout for the slightest digression from their self proclaimed standards of what is allowable and what is not. chickenfeed1 if you were a council tenant, and you made those remarks to a neighbour who was from an ethnic minority, I have no doubt you would have Thurrock Council’s ethnic and diversity Department on your doorstep the next morning, which could mean losing your tenancy, likewise in my belief somebody such as Mark Coxshall ,in public office would have been acutely aware of the connotations involved in his statement, and accordingly the local police are treating this with the seriousness it deserves

Travellers have made formal application for retrospective planning permission today and so it will now go through the consultation process. PA confirmed that they’re all pushing Thurrock to take robust action against this illegal encampment. Councillors informed relevant departments immediately but unfortunately there was a period when the matter was passed to Essex who claimed the land was on their side of the boundary, but then decide a week later it was not, which was too late for the emergency court action. In the meantime the planning application now gives a further opportunity to turn it down and take enforcement action

superman – I think from the press releases and press comments made the Conservative Group at Thurrock Council has pre determined themselves on any application received from any traveller or gypsy. Any Gypsy or Traveller could reasonably argue they won’t be given a fair hearing by any Conservative on the Planning Committee.
superman – The comments by Cllr Phil Anderson show he didn’t enter that planning meeting with an open mind as he had already pre determined his decision. The travellers were not given a fair hearing. I’m sure this is a breach of the code of conduct and he could be suspended as a councillor if anyone makes a formal complaint and that complaint is upheld.
After I had typed the above realised the predetermination rules were scrapped by the Localism Act 2012. Not sure what the rues are now.

Apparently these defenceless travellers doing no wrong are very fond of the race card now. In fact it would appear that anyone who objects to them illegally occupying pieces of land and causing mayhem are racists. As you can see from the forum minutes the leader of Thurrock Tories Phil Anderson had already quite clearly a decision two months before the planning application was even heard before the planning committee on which he sat. And such is apart from the racialist comments made by Mark Coxshall. So as to your preconceptions on travelling people the only law-abiding people in the whole of this matter are the Ward family. If that is not plain enough for you to understand and recognise the only disingenuous person in this whole matter, and who I have accused of lacking any integrity is Phil Anderson. If bible bashing sanctimonious Phil Anderson is upset about my comments my advice to him is if he feels he did not predetermine himself at the earlier forum meeting in May 2013 and that he is in the right and has done no wrong in this matter then sue me. If he don’t I think we can all surmise what has happened (PREDETERMINATION).
After making the comments at the forum of which he did not declare that he had made those earlier comments in public, then had the audacity at the planning meeting two months later to say that he declared that he could help determine the application with a full and open mind. This declaration is clearly at odds with that which he said at the earlier forum meeting from which it necessarily follows that he could only have been predetermined beyond a shadow of doubt when looking at it objectively. Perhaps the Ward family should have given him a cup cake because it looks like someone has definitely being given him cup cakes from somewhere else!!!! I would like to see what you could get from certain members on the planning committee for a nice cheesecake or indeed black forest gateaux?
Superman what Mr Anderson says is irrelevant to 95% of the people that live in Thurrock. What is relevant to people in Thurrock is that they be able to live a relatively peaceful life without someone rocking up at the bottom of their garden and deciding to set up home illegally.
The world and his mother knows this issue is a jumped up parlour trick brought about by the abusers of a pathetic law that criminalises the majority to appease the minority.
This is democracy left wing Labour style. It gives the left something to do when they’re not protesting outside a bank or a fracking site or the offices of British Gas.

And as per usual the council when it comes to leadership burys it’s head in the sand fearing of upsetting those who have committed the questionable behaviour. I think Mr Coxshall has provided a valuable lesson to the council, the Conservatives and UKIP. Come next May I expect hundreds, if not thousands, of Romanians and Bulgarians to have moved to Thurrock. During the run up to next May’s elections, the race hate relations ambulance chasers will be on the ground in force. They will be screaming at anyone that dares make an utterance that doesn’t meet their self imposed standard of acceptablility like something out of invasion of the body snatchers.
So both the Conservatives and UKIP candidates have been forwarned that they need to dust down their PC left wing speak manuals and learn which phrases are acceptable to Harriett Harman and the gang.
I think Mr Coxshall deserves a round of applause for the valuable service he has provided.

Presumably the additional 50% over the whole are illegal immigrants and those people that show up on the voting register at elections to vote Labour. Local Tory councillor Mark Coxshall went to the police with allegations new Labour Stifford Clays Cllr Sue Shinnick had broken electoral rules by providing cakes for elderly voters before a by-election that she won. Cllr Shinnick is alleged to have handed out the items at the Elizabeth House retirement flats 11 days before the recent by-election.
I’ve read your comments on the other story Superman. The allegations made here are on a par with the complaint Mr Coxshall mad. They are both a childish waste of police time and taxpayers money. You can tub thump about racism as much as you like. If you walked into a pub in Thurrock, or any public arena and did the same, you’d get laughed at.
