FIRE CREWS were called to a fire in a first floor flat in Ryde Drive, Stanford-le-Hope.
The property was 100 percent smoke logged, crews wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire by 09:48hrs on Sunday morning.
ECFRS and the police will carry out an investigation to establish the cause.
