NGAGE the community organisation and Volunteer Centre for Thurrock recently held their annual FREE Festive Fun Night. at the Civic Hall, Blackshots.
The children were kept busy enjoying dancing and games with AJ the party entertainer, aswell as activities such as face painting, balloon modelling, craft activities, badge making and much more.
The whole event was FREE and people were able to tuck into free mince pies and refreshments.
Mrs Heath from Tilbury, the winner of the free Lakeside Voucher said “I go to the event every year and my kids really love it”. The Christmas Hamper was won by Mrs Read from Chadwell St Mary, and the art set was won by five-year-old Brandon Blackboro from Blackshots, Grays.
Voluntary groups and charities were able to fundraise at the event through tombola’s, games etc. There was plenty of information on how people could get more active and involved in their local community through volunteering or community activities.
Jacqui Payne, Programme Manager from ngage said “It was such a great night and we had a record attendance. It’s a great Christmas event that brings people together, puts them in the Christmas mood and gives them the opportunity to find out more about the excellent work that is happening across Thurrock”.
ngage would like to give a special thanks to ngage staff, directors and volunteers who helped make the event a success, Community Chest who helped fund a part of the event.
