Wroxham 3 v 4 Aveley

TWO goals in injury-time from Jay Leader saw Aveley complete a remarkable turnaround and record a desperately needed win over Wroxham.
3-1 down with eight minutes remaining, goals from Kyle Asante and two from Leader ensured the Millers picked up their first league win in seven.
After shipping five against Dereham last time Aveley made the trip to Norfolk, it looked as though they were in for a similar hiding here with Joseph Marsden’s retaken penalty and Aaron Taylor’s deflected effort putting the Yachtsman 2-0 up inside 20 minutes.
Aveley were unable to muster a response in the first half, but after a half time rollicking from Gardner the Millers came back fighting with Asante reducing the arrears before the hour.
That goal looked to have put Aveley back in it until Nathan Koranteng lost the ball in an advanced position allowing Wroxham the chance to spring a counter attack, finished by Remy Gordon.
Then Asante began the turnaround, poking through Aaron Cranfield’s legs to make it 3-2.
Leader then headed home a Sam Holloway corner to equalise and then deep, deep into stoppage time an Aryan Tajbakhsh free kick was swung in at the near post with Leader applying the finishing touch to secure a vital win for the Millers.
