Ormiston Park Academy, Nethan Drive, Aveley, Essex, RM15 4RU
THE Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus invites people from across Thurrock to find their voice at a special taster session on Monday 13 January 2014 at 7.15pm at the Ormiston Park Academy in Aveley.
If you have ever listened to a chorus or choir and felt you’d like to join them, if you’ve enjoyed Gareth Malone’s singing plumbers or if you would like a new hobby and some new friends, come along to the taster session and meet some of the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus members.
The Thurrock Community Chorus is open to anybody living, working or studying in Thurrock who wants to sing. Gentlemen will be particularly welcome so if you know a man who likes to sing, send him along. No previous singing experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to join in.
The taster session on Monday 13 January 2014 offers everyone from across Thurrock the opportunity to discover the joy of singing. Led by professional Chorus Director, Jeremy Haneman, the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus is a dedicated group of local people who love to sing. It has gone from strength to strength over the last two years, performing at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and regularly across Thurrock. It now has over 140 members and with recruitment only a couple of times a year, this is an opportunity not to miss if you would like to join.
Limited places at the taster session are available and registration is essential. To register or for more information, please email getinvolved@roh.org.uk or call 01708 891200.
