CHILDREN FIRST are spearheading a campaign to highlight Fostering February.
The campaign is aimed at creating awareness around what fostering is about and to dispel many of the myths that surround fostering.
Some of the myths dispelled are that you do not need to own your own home; you don’t need to be married and yes, you can be gay, you can be single and you can be divorced but you can still foster.
Fostering February wants you to learn more about the facts and be properly informed on how to become a foster carer, understand what is involved and how long it could take and, very importantly, have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you would like.
