THURROCK photographer Rob Lay is best known for beautiful sunsets and sightings of rare birds. So imagine Rob’s disgust when he went down Lytton Road in Chadwell St Mary only to discover that fly-tippers had deposited litter all over the lane.

Rob switched his stills camera to moving image and captured the disgusting images.

The film has been passed onto the local councillors and Thurrock Council.

  1. At least 4 black rubbish bags dumped on Sunday evening by the Dog Poo Bin on the bend in Little Thurrock just before the Rookery.

  2. I think that we will see a lot more fly-tipping in Thurrock now that TC have tightened up on who can legally dispose of rubbish at their Linford official site.

  3. and it was all still there yesterday have not checked today there were also bits of wood with nails sticking up i moved them yesterday in fear a child or dog walker may step on it

  4. This rubbish has probably been thrown from the back of builders van – someone drives while others chuck the rubbish from the back. Any resident would just hear a van driving along the track without realising someone is chucking all the builders rubbish from the back.

  5. Another pile of Rubbish dumped in the field entrance across the road from William Edwards school entrance.

Thanks Thurrock Council cleaning staff for clearing the Rubbish Bags quickly from the road side by the Rookery before the foxes ripped them all open.

  6. Now we have 2 Caravans full of Rubbish dumped over the Weekend on the Woodview Slip Road that runs from the Rookery up to Daneholes Roundabout.

  7. Well done Thurrock Council on clearing the 2 dumped Caravans from our slip road, by why does it take 3 days.
It was reported early monday morning, and cleared at 15-00 Wednesday pm, we were lucky they were not torched like the previous time these rubbish filled caravans are left along this slip road.
