TILBURY returned to action after a lengthy break due to the weather in sunny Norfolk. With the game in doubt until the morning of the game, the pitch was in good condition but a howling wind gave Wroxham the advantage in the first period. Tilbury made a number of changes including a debut for keeper Tristan Hickman and he was picking the ball out of the net after just two minutes when a Gordon’s swirling corner was turned as Jordan King poked home at the second attempt.
King was on the scoreline 10 minutes later when he poked home at the back post from another swirling corner to make it 2-0. Tilbury then lost Cohen to injury seconds later.
Just before the half hour substitute Jake Pooley had his header well saved.
Guyton made it 3-0 on 32, keeping his cool to place his shot past Hickman after a great run by Marsden down the right
Harrison Tweddell then had the ball in the net, but it was ruled offside. Wroxham made it 4-0 on 38 when another swirling corner saw a flick by Halliday and fell to to Drake to power home.
Tilbury did start the second half better and pushed hard and were rewarded on 56 when a Waters found Harrison Twedell at the back post to score.
Tilbury continued to push hard and put the home side on the back foot and a Cutler ball with 12 minutes remaining found Gilbey who beat the offside trap and scored. With time running out captain Aaron Waters was sent off for a second yellow card to leave the Dockers having a disappointing afternoon.
The result sees Tilbury remain in 14th. Tilbury are back in action on Monday when they make the short journey to Aveley.
