Thurrock 3 v 0 Witham Town
THURROCK are now just one point off the play-offs with another impressive in beating fellow promotion contenders Witham Town 3-0 at Ship Lane.
This was the Fleet’s second victory in four days and indicates a rich rein of form just at the right time for Mark Stimson’s men.
That is important as all around him are teams whose form, such as Witham, Soham and Harlow has become a little uncertain. With VCD now twelve points clear, it looks like eight teams are fighting for the four play off places.
Thurrock beat Barkingside, 3-0 on Saturday with a hat-trick from David Knight and they saw off Witham with goals from Loui Hazelwood, David Knight and Lewwis Spence.
It doesn’t stop there for Thurrock as they are now on the road with Needham Market on Thursday and then away again against Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday.
It is going to be quite a run in for the Fleet.
