Changing Places are large toilets for people with additional support needs including those with profound disabilities, stroke victims, amputees and many others.
They include a bench, hoist and space that people need to use the facilities in a dignified way.
Mike Le-Surf said: “Without Changing Places many people are excluded from their local communities or suffer the indignity of having to change on dirty toilet floors. I am campaigning for a level playing field for all citizens. Decent toilet provision is the most basic need that we all deserve.”
Mike has successfully campaigned for many Changing Places across Essex and wants to see more provided in South Basildon and East Thurrock over the next five years.
Mike added: “I have over 20 years of experience in supporting community inclusion for people who are often excluded. If elected as the MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock in 2015 I will make sure that all citizens in the constituency have a voice at the highest level.”
