SEARCHING for your family history is still very popular and TV programmes such as the BBC’s Who do you think you are? have encouraged more people to go looking for their family’s roots.
This May Thurrock Council’s library service will be hosting a talk about the wide range of online websites now available which makes family history searching easier.
Already available free on library computers is Ancestry.co.uk but there are a number of other websites which can also be used.
Join professional genealogist Meryl Catty on Thursday, 8 May at Corringham Library from 11am to noon or at Grays Library on Wednesday, 21 May from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
