Family escape house fire in Corringham

FIRE CREWS wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to tackle a fire in a conservatory.

Crews were originally called to a fire in a garden in Fobbing Road, Corringham at 3am but on arrival at the scene reported that the rear of the conservatory was 100 per cent alight.

Once the fire was out, firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear the property of smoke.

The Gas and Electricity Board were called to the scene to deal with services affected by fire.

The incident was dealt with by 04:23 hrs.

There were no reported casualties.
