THE new April to July 2014 ACE training programme is taking enrolments and offers FREE bitesize courses on a number of courses ranging from Computer skills and Basic emergency life support to Business support and Body Language skills.
Programme Manager for ngage Jacqui Payne said: “We have some great courses in the latest ACE programme. In May, we have courses in Body Language, Dealing with conflict in the community, British Sign Language and many more. We also have a number of computer courses ranging from Absolute Beginners to Power Point and Excel.
“More and more people across Thurrock are taking advantage of these free trainings as they are very popular and I would encourage anyone to book early to avoid disappointment”. We have an introduction to Community Rights training called ‘You’ve got the Power’ which explains the Governments Community Rights in more detail”.
The Community Rights are a set of powers that give local people a greater say over how the community develops. They can help communities to save local shops, pubs, libraries, parks and football grounds. You can decide what is built and how the area should develop. Groups of people have the chance to deliver local services and develop them into community enterprises.
