In their opening match of the 2014 season, the Belhus 1st XI got off to a winning start at Chingford. Although the home side chalked up a respectable total of 225, Belhus knocked off the required runs in 33 overs as Joe Joyce (115) scored the first century of the season, and Dan Norris (72) batted superbly to secure a 7 wickets win.

Belhus 1st XI batted first in their home curtain-raiser at North Stifford Village Green and, on an excellent batting strip, posted a competitive total of 204 thanks to a cultured 91 from Wayne Read and a masterly 61 from Joe Joyce. In reply, Wickford made a fine attempt to chase down the runs but fell just short of their target as Belhus notched up their second win of the season by 8 runs.
